Training Manuals for Communist Cadre

Coming soon!

The following training manuals were written by the leadership of the Organization of Communist Revolutionaries (US) from 2021 to 2025. They synthesize lessons from the OCR’s collective practice and the broader experience of the communist tradition. Their purpose is to to train up the next generation of communist cadre in the skills, methods, and critical thinking required to develop the proletarian class-consciousness, fighting capacity, and organization of the masses and build the subjective forces for revolution. The manuals on agitation and summation were first published in the journal kites, while the rest of the content in this volume first appeared in print in the journal Going Against the Tide. All content in this volume is available in the library section of goingagainstthetide.org. Two items in this volume—“Correcting an over-correction” and “Notes on our work among the proletariat”—are not, formally speaking, training manuals, but they serve a similar purpose and are part of the developing strategic thinking of the Organization of Communist Revolutionaries. Before diving into these training manuals, we recommend you study the Manifesto of the Organization of Communist Revolutionaries, published in 2020, for an introduction to the OCR’s objectives and strategy. Welcome to the challenges, responsibilities, and joys of dedicating our lives to communist revolution.
